Catholic running back Derrius Guice came up short of the goalline according to the officials and their bid for a state championship came up short with him.

Guice was stuffed on a two point conversion following a thrilling hook and ladder play that got the Bears to within two points 25-23.

Catholic quarterback Ian Brian connected with Grayson Walsh on a pass over the middle, as Walsh was being tackled he pitched the ball to a sweeping Guice who raced another 20 yards for the touchdown.

Catholic trailed Brother Martin 13-7 at half and fell behind by a score of 19-7 in the third quarter when their offense was strugging to move the ball.
