Cat on the prowl and owners trapped
PORTLAND, OREGON- Police were called to a house in Portland, Oregon to subdue a huge house cat that attacked a child forcing the family to barricade themselves in a bedroom.
They baby was not hurt.
The couple locked themselves in their bedroom with the baby and the family dog, called 911 and waited for help.
The 911 operator could hear the cat screeching in the background when the call was made.
The cat weighs 22-pounds and police had to use a dog snare to capture it to put in a crate.
The owners told officers the cat has a history of violence but it remained with them.
