Casino winnings possibly taken for child support
Louisiana could start taking casino winnings from people who owe child support.
144,000 people in Louisiana are more than 30 days behind in paying child support. A bill approved by a senate committee would place database equipment in casinos to provide "real time" information about people who owe money. If someone hits a jackpot totaling more than $1,200, the child support they owed would be removed.
