Carnival season rolls into season Wednesday night
NEW ORLEANS - The Carnival season got off to a musical start as the Phunny Phorty Phellows rolled down St. Charles Avenue Wednesday night.
The gaggle parades each Twelfth Night, Jan. 6. In 2016, as they do each year, the group rode a street car as festival goers yelled and wave along side the rails.
Wednesday, starts the Carnival season. It ends on Mardi Gras, February 9th.
Parades are still a few weekends away in the Baton Rouge area. Spanish Town rolls Saturday, February 6th, at noon.
