A blackjack dealer and a gambler have been arrested on suspicion of cheating Boomtown Casino out of more than $1,000.

The dealer, 50-year-old Tam T. Tran, of Avondale, and the patron, 44-year-old Thanh T. Nguyen, of Bridge City, were booked into a Jefferson Parish jail on charges of felony theft and cheating and swindling.

The Louisiana State Police said surveillance video showed Tran adding additional chips to Nguyen's winning bets and showed the dealer not collecting her losing bets.

Police are investigating allegations that the two women engaged in the same scheme on other dates.
