Car with body found inside tied to missing person's case
BAKER - A car where a woman's body was found Wednesday afternoon has been tied to a missing person's case, police said late Wednesday.
The discovery was made in the parking lot of the town Walmart around 4 p.m. Police initially said they did not suspect foul play.
Hours later, around 10 p.m., the department said the vehicle was linked to a recent missing person's report in Baton Rouge, being handled by Baton Rouge Police. But, the identity of the woman was still unknown.
Police Chief Mike Knaps said the woman's body was so badly decomposed, the woman's identity could not be determined immediately.
An autopsy Thursday could provide more clues.
