Capital One customers report widespread double charges
BATON ROUGE- Capital One banking customers are complaining of pending double charges and negative balances on their checking accounts.
The company's customer service Twitter account said that support teams are working towards fixing the issue.
Debit card bank transactions have us seeing double today. Rest assured our support teams are engaged & working towards a fix. Hanging on the phone? "Debit card bank transactions have us seeing double today," the Ask Capital One account tweeted. "We are hard at work to nail down a fix as quickly as possible." Capital One also promises that customers will not be responsible for any fees that may arise during this dilemma.
Customers are also reporting long waits on the Capital One customer service phone numbers.
Customer service suggests logging in online or using the Capital One app for updates.
