This Tuesday Morning starts off with some partly to mostly cloudy skies and muggy conditions. Patchy fog is also developing across the viewing area. Temperatures are in the mid 60s.
More storms are on tap this afternoon. They will come from a disturbance coming out of Texas plus the sea breeze and lastly from daytime heating. All of that will lead to scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. Some will be strong to possibly severe. The main threat will be heavy rain, but gusty winds, hail and a lot of lightning will also be possible. The high temperatures will be around 90 before storms start.
The rain will not come to an end tonight thanks to a cold front sinking toward Baton Rouge. That means we will have mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms overnight. Lows will be in the upper 60s.
