Caddo Parish DA passes away at LSU hotel
BATON ROUGE - Authorities said a visiting district attorney from Caddo Parish passed away Wednesday morning while staying at the Lod Cook Hotel on LSU's campus.
LSU Police responded to the hotel around 8:15 a.m. and said Charles Rex Scott, 67, from Shreveport had died.
Police said there were no signs of foul play, and it appeared Scott died from natural causes.
District attorneys from across the state are in Baton Rouge for a DA's Association meeting this week.
