NEW ORLEANS- The success rate of bypass surgery for patients with weak hearts, is being questioned at a cardiology conference, in New Orleans.
Researchers say the operation doesn't improve the survival rate for those who are already taking medicines to control heart risks, like high cholesterol and high blood pressure.
Bypass surgery is usually advised for patients with clogged arteries.
