Buyout deferred, no decision by Metro Council
BATON ROUGE- Another delay in the decision about buying out a group of homes near a wastewater treatment plant off Scenic Highway.
The Baton Rouge Metro Council deferred the $6 million buyout Wednesday night.
People who live near the plant have said it stinks and is ruining their quality of life.
The discussion could return at the next meeting, in two weeks.
