Busy Livingston highway scene of log truck crash Monday
DENHAM SPRINGS - On schedule, State Police opened a stretch of highway that was closed for the evening rush after a log truck overturned.
For about three hours Monday, Highway 1019 north of Hunstock Road was closed.
The highway was down to just one lane because of an overturned log truck, and was later closed to allow crews to work on uprighting it. Typically, the highway is two lanes and a connection between East Baton Rouge Parish and Watson. Just north of the crash scene the Magnolia Bridge crosses the Amite River, linking EBR and Livingston Parish.
