Busy highway opens after fiery crash
BAKER- All lanes near the intersection of Plank Road and Thomas Road reopened late Tuesday evening after a fiery crash closed the busy street for the entire late rush hour.
Video obtained by WBRZ News 2 after the crash showed an 18-wheeler on fire, lying on its side in the parking lot of a gas station at the intersection.
Authorities have not said what happened, yet.
Three vehicles were involved: the semi and two other vehicles, including an SUV where one person inside had to be pulled from the wreckage.
A load of wood, being hauled on the truck, spilled and had to be cleared.
State Police said there were only minor injuries.
The area was closed from 1:45 to about 8:30 Tuesday night.
