In other action, Colombia defeated Greece 3-0, Italy topped England 2-1, and Cote d'Ivoire defeated Japan 2-1, giving all four winners three crucial points in the early going of the Group stages.
The United States has not taken the field yet. They'll begin their World Cup draw on Monday against Ghana.
