WHISKEY BAY - Volunteer firefighters along I-10 in Iberville Parish said today has been the busiest day of the year for them so far.

Chief Walter Bagot and the Blue Bayou Volunteer Fire Department responded to a large grass fire this afternoon at an exit off I-10 at the Whiskey Bay Bridge.

Bagot said his firefighters also responded to four other calls along the interstate so far today.

No one was injured in the Whiskey Bay Bridge fire.
