BATON ROUGE- A school bus driver was ticketed for failure to yield, after the bus she was driving was involved in a crash with a dump truck Friday evening.
Two students were taken to a hospital for injuries.
The school bus was full of students when the crash happened at the intersection of Greenway Drive and Greenwell Springs Rd. The school bus was hit, trying to turn left from Greenway onto Greenwell Springs.
WBRZ News 2's Adrian Pittman talked to witnesses who said the bus, with about 30 students onboard, was trailing another bus and turned into the path of the Mack dump truck.
"We've been living on this street for a long time. I've seen a lot of bad accidents on this street. It scared me, it shocked me, but it didn't surprise me, because things like this have happened a lot of times," one driver said.
The driver of the dump truck was not cited.
