BATON ROUGE - Donald Bordelon, 61, was paid to drive students to school. Instead he's in jail, charged with the aggravated rape of a student on his school bus.

The 18-year-old special needs student told her mother and an administrator at her school that Bordelon had forced her to commit sex acts on him over and over.

According to an affidavit, Bordelon drove the girl to Cypress Mound Park, where he stood over her and forced her to commit sex acts. The girl told detectives this happened six separate times.

Bordelon admits he picked the girl up for school early and had intercourse with the girl once; he even said he gave the girl candy and a cell phone. But Bordelon denies that it happened more than once, and said it never happened on his school bus.

Still, Bordelon was booked on a charge of aggravated rape. He is in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison with a bond of $250,000.

East Baton Rouge School Board spokesperson Chris Trahan tells News 2 the school board is in the process of firing Bordelon, who has been driving a bus since 2009. Bordelon passed a thorough background check before he began driving a bus.
