Burglary suspects met by K-9
LIVINGSTON- A K-9 dog helped deputies nab two accused burglars in Livingston Parish.
Tonjue Vignes and Erica Ellwood claimed they were breaking into a home on Brian St. in Denham Springs, to take back items stolen from their home.
Deputies say, when they got to the home, one woman was hiding in a bathroom, and the other in a closet. "Gunner" a K-9, with the department was released and quickly found the women.
Vignes, 47, of Denham Springs was charged with simple burglary, and resiting arrest. She was treated at a hospital for the dog bite.
Ellwood, 32, of Denham Springs, was also charged with simple burglary and resiting arrest.
Deputies searched the area for the accused "stolen items," but say they didn't find anything.
