A Bunkie woman was arrested for allegedly running over a New Iberia woman and a 7-year-old boy during an argument, then leaving town.

Bunkie police arrested Candice Marie Gorrell at her home, on Iberia Parish charges.

Deputies say she allegedly slapped a woman in an argument about a 1974 Monte Carlo, which Gorell said was hers, then got into the car and ran over the woman's mother and 7-year-old son.

Deputies say Gorell also hit a stop sign as she tried to leave, got out of the Monte Carlo and drove off in another car.
