OMAHA, NEBRASKA- Financier Warren Buffett gave almost $3 billion worth of Berkshire Hathaway stock to five charities in his quest to give away all his money.
Buffett is Berkshire's chairman and CEO. He's been giving away the stock since 2006 and so far the biggest share was to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
He's also given to his own foundation and to the ones run by each of his three children.
He gives major gifts away each summer and also gives smaller blocks of stock to multiple unnamed charities each year.
