BTR: Flights expected to be delayed, canceled
BATON ROUGE - Airport officials in Baton Rouge said travelers should expect several delays and cancellations over the next couple of days due to tropical storm Isaac.
Jim Caldwell with Baton Rouge Metro Airport said all flights leaving the city-parish Tuesday would likely procede normally. However, he said flights into Baton Rouge Tuesday evening and overnight would likely be canceled as the storm approaches.
Caldwell said all BTR flights on Wednesday are expected to be cancelled. Flights would resume their normal schedule Thursday, depending on weather conditions.
He advised passengers to check the status of their flights ahead of time by calling reservations or visiting their airline's website.
