BRPD: Woman killed after crossing in front of big rig
BATON ROUGE - Police identified a woman who died in a wreck with an 18-wheeler in Baton Rouge Friday morning.
A BRPD spokesperson said Lahisha Walls, 37, died after her car was hit by the big rig.
Police said Walls was driving north in the 9500 block of Airline Highway when she crossed into oncoming traffic, and was hit on her passenger's side by an 18-wheeler.
Investigators said Walls died at the scene. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
This crash is still under investigation, but police said no charges are pending.
