BATON ROUGE - Police are still looking for the suspect in a drive-by shooting in Baton Rouge that left a woman dead Friday afternoon.

Sgt. Don Stone said the shooting happened at a home on 2200 Valley Street in central Baton Rouge.

He said Shantell Johnese, 37, was standing in her yard when a vehicle drove by and someone started firing, hitting her.

Johnese was taken to a local hospital and pronounced dead at 3:00 pm.

At this time police have no motives or suspects but anyone with any information is urged to call BRPD.
