BATON ROUGE - The victim of a shooting on Bartlett Street Saturday morning has been identified and an arrest has been made, according to Baton Rouge Police Department Cpl. Tommy Stubbs.

Detectives learned that 47-year-old Jacqueline Scott and the victim, Dale Bentley, 37, had been in a three-year relationship with a history of domestic violence.

Scott arrived to the victim's residence on the 2500 block of Bartlett St. around 5:50 a.m. Saturday morning, and the couple began to argue, according to Stubbs.

Stubbs says Scott then armed herself with a gun and shot Bentley multiple times. Officers located Scott on the scene of the shooting and was detained.

Scott was booked into parish prison on a count of second-degree murder, according to Stubbs.
