BRPD: U. S. Attorney stops burglary
BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police say U.S. Attorney J. Walter Green helped foil the burglary of his aunt's home on Lakeshore Drive.
Detectives arrested Sidney Parker on charges of attempted burglary and simple battery.
Police say Green observed Parker attempting the burglarize the home while out walking his dog. As Green confronted Parker, a struggle ensued with Parker striking Green and trying to flee. Parker was eventually able to escape before police arrived on the scene.
Parker was tracked down Wednesday morning by U.S. Marshals on an arrest warrant obtained by Baton Rouge Police.
