BATON ROUGE - Police accused a Baton Rouge man of dealing heroin after they said the man was caught with narcotics and more than $20,000 in cash late Tuesday night.

Baton Rouge Police said narcotics detectives arrested 37-year-old Donald Roberson and charged with possessing drugs with the intent to distribute them.

Narcotics detectives stopped Roberson in his vehicle in the 4900 block of Constitution Ave. Tuesday night and said they seized a small amount of suspected heroin. Detectives said they continued their investigation at Roberson's home and found four-and-a-half ounces of heroin, four doses of MDMA, one dose of oxycodone and $20,213 in cash.

Police said Roberson had an extensive history of arrests. He was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish jail and did not have a listed bond as of Wednesday morning.
