BATON ROUGE - Police released photos today of a man they said robbed or tried to rob three convenience stores overnight in Baton Rouge.

Lt. Don Kelly said the man had a gun when he robbed three stores around Alvin Dark, Highland Road and Nicholson Avenue, but a clerk at the third store managed to knock it out of his hand and chase him off before he could take anything there.

Police said the man was a black male in his late 20's to early 30's, 5'7" to 5'9" and weighing 130 to 150 pounds with visible acne scarring on both cheeks.

Anyone with information about the robber's identity should contact the BRPD Armed Robbery Division at (225) 389-3845.
