BATON ROUGE - Police said they found nothing dangerous in a stolen truck abandoned behind a building on Market Place Avenue near Sherwood Forest, which prompted an evacuation as bomb squad members investigated.
Cpl. L'Jean McKneely with Baton Rouge Police said earlier the truck reportedly smelled of a chemical, possibly ammonia. The truck belongs to "Auto-Chlor," a cleaning company, known for their commercial dish-washing products.
The bomb squad was called in out of an abundance of caution, but found nothing in the truck that was a threat to the area. The investigation prompted police to close two roads in the area and evacuate people working nearby.
