BATON ROUGE - The BRPD Special Response Team has a man in custody for a possible kidnapping on Evangeline Street off Longfellow Drive.

Officers arrested and charged 41-year-old Frederick Harris for second degree kidnapping, domestic abuse battery, simple criminal damage to property and simple assault following an incident on Longfellow Drive.

Police initially responded to a disturbance between a man and a woman on the 5300 block of Underwood Avenue around 2 a.m. on Thursday.
