WBRZ - Baton Rouge

A shooting that claimed the life of a 4 year-old boy in Baton Rouge is under investigation.

It happened just before 11:00 a.m. inside a home at 2944 Iroquois.

Officers found Shawn Dean Jr., with a single gunshot wound to the head.

He died at the scene.

Police say the shot was fired from inside the house.

The boy's father and mother were home when officers arrived, and are being questioned on how the shooting happened.
