BRPD investigating payday loan store robbery
BATON ROUGE - Detectives are investigating the robbery of a payday loan store on Florida Blvd. that happened on Monday morning.
Police in Baton Rouge said a man entered Broke Til Payday at 4025 Florida Blvd around 8:30 a.m., placed an unknown object in the back of an employee and demanded money.
The man fled from the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and headed westbound on Florida Blvd., according to investigators.
There were no reported injuries in connection with the robbery. Police said it is unknown if the man had a weapon.
Detectives described the robber as a slim black man who is 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing a dark shirt and blue jeans with green and yellow shoes.
