BRPD investigating 3rd and 4th shooting deaths of the weekend
BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge police are investigating a shooting where two men were killed.
Officials say they found two bodies at a house on Alliquippa Street near Winbourne Avenue just before 5:30 Sunday morning.
Detectives say they found one man in the yard and the other inside the house. The two victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
On Saturday, Baton Rouge police investigated two shooting deaths. One where a teen killed his friend because they were playing with a gun and another where a prior drug deal led to an altercation. Arrests were made in both of those other shootings.
In addition, Baton Rouge police are still investigating an officer involved shooting. The officer fired his gun after the man got out of the passenger's side of the car and pointed his firearm at police. That suspect ran away. Police arrested the driver for trying to get away when the officers were attempting to pull him over for a traffic stop.
