Family coping with murder of Baton Rouge man
BATON ROUGE - Police identified a man Monday morning who was found shot to death in the driver's seat of a vehicle the night before.
Officers said Kentrail Thompson, 22, was found around 9:25 p.m. Sunday in a vehicle on Crestway Ave. with multiple gunshot wounds.
Thompson's family members gathered today to remember their loved one.
"This is my baby brother," said Thompson's sister, Ebony Spurlock. "We never thought in a million years that we would get a phone call saying my baby brother was pronounced dead on the scene from gun shot wounds... It broke me into a million pieces. It's nothing that I could say that could ever leave me like this."
Detectives said there is no known motive in the shooting at this time.
Investigators urged anyone with information about this shooting to contact the Violent Crime Division at (225) 389-4869.
