BRPD: Home invader charged in two more cases
BATON ROUGE - Vorris Mouton now faces additional charges relating to two more home invasions in the Baton Rouge area.
Mouton, 35, faces charges for aggravated burglary and sexual battery during two separate break-ins in mid-January. The first occurred in the Tara subdivision on January 12, and the second in the Webb Park area two days later.
Police say the suspect's DNA was found at the home in Webb Park. None was found in Tara, but they say there was enough evidence to tack on charges there, as well.
Mouton was originally arrested and charged with home invasion in January for a home invasion in New Iberia. Officials say he entered the house without consent of the homeowner and demanded she show him where the safe was and threatened to kill her, before fleeing the scene.
A few days later, police added charges for aggravated burglary and sexual battery for another home invasion near Sherwood Forest.
In total, Mouton has now been charged with aggravated burglary in four cases and sexual battery in three others.
