BRPD: Good Samaritans locate missing 10-year-old
BATON ROUGE - Police said a pair of good Samaritans found a 10-year-old girl who went missing in Baton Rouge and returned her safely to her family Wednesday.
Cpl. L'Jean McKneely said the pair found Eriel Cottrell walking on South Choctaw Tuesday night and took her to their home. McKneely said Cottrell had gotten into an argument with her mother earlier that evening, and it was the last time she'd been seen.
McKneely said the pair who found Cottrell contacted a foster mother who then contacted a help line. The little girl was reunited with her mother Wednesday, soon after police released a notice to the media that Cottrell was missing.
