BRPD: Driver identified in fatal crash on N. 22nd Street

BATON ROUGE- Baton Rouge Police have identified the driver that was involved in a fatal Monday morning crash that took place in the 2200 block of North 22nd Street.

The driver who died at the scene is identified as 28-year-old Bobby Lee, BRPD announced on Tuesday. 

The initial investigation revealed that Lee was in a Dodge truck was traveling north on N. 22nd Street in the outside lane when, for unknown reasons, the truck made a U-turn in the middle of the road.

The truck was then struck by a Chevrolet truck that was traveling north in the inside lane of the street.

Lee, driver of the Dogde truck, died at the scene as a result of the crash. The driver of the Chevrolet tuck was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to BRPD.

The crash is still under investigation as of Tuesday afternoon.
