BATON ROUGE - Police recovered a car today they said was connected to an investigation into a hit and run which injured a pedestrian this weekend in Baton Rouge.

Cpl. Don Coppola said they received a tip that the car which hit the pedestrian, later identified as Matt Tugwell, was at a repair shop in town. He said detectives took possession of the vehicle as part of the investigation.

Police said Tugwell was hit Saturday night as he was in a crosswalk at the intersection of East State and Dalrymple. He was treated for his injuries at a local hospital.
