BRPD: Boyfriend stabbed, killed girlfriend in argument
BATON ROUGE - Police arrested a Baton Rouge man after they said he stabbed his girlfriend overnight.
Cpl. Tommy Stubbs said police arrested Mark Turner, 48, in suspicion of killing 30-year-old Shalonda Green.
Stubbs said Turner and Green were arguing inside her residence when Turner stabbed Green around 1 a.m. today.
When officers arrived on scene they said Turner tried to run but was quickly caught. Investigators said he was covered in blood with cuts on his hands, arms and abdomen.
Turner and Green also have a long-documented history of domestic violence, according to Stubbs.
Turner was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with second-degree murder.
