BRPD: Body in burned home had been shot
BATON ROUGE - Police said a Baton Rouge man whose body was found in burned home had also been shot.
Investigators said the body of Laross Davis, 35, was found in his home on Eaton Street around 6:30 a.m.
Firefighters said they had been called to the home around 6 a.m. and found a couch on fire in the front living room. When they investigated further, the firefighters found Davis's body in the front bedroom.
Police said Davis had a single gunshot wound, and his body was partially burned. Firefighters said they believe the fire was intentionally set.
