BRPD arrest juvenile for attempted murder after chase
BATON ROUGE - Police in Baton Rouge arrested a 16-year-old male after a foot chase today for trying to shoot and kill someone back in January.
The teen had been wanted since Jan. 16 for second-degree attempted murder after a shooting on north 31st Street and Lula Avenue.
Police said the teen chased another person, hitting him once in the leg and also hitting three cars as he shot at the victim.
Officers located the teen today and arrested him after a pursuit near Gus Young and 44th Street. He's being held at the parish juvenile detention center in suspicion of attempted murder, illegal use of a firearm and three counts of damage to property.
