BRPD: Armed fast-food robbers left empty-handed
BATON ROUGE - Police said two men with a gun broke into a fast-food place in Baton Rouge last night, but left empty-handed.
Baton Rouge Police said the robbers were stumped by an employee who told them they didn't know where the manager was.
It happened around 12:24 a.m. at the Burger King on 6244 Airline Highway. Investigators said the two men smashed in a side glass door to enter the business and pointed pistols at an employee, demanding to see the manager.
When the employee said they didn't know where the manager was, the men fled.
Investigators said the robbers were dressed all in black, with covered faces and gloves. Nobody was hurt.
