MONROE - After leading Louisiana-Monroe to a 43-42 overtime win at Western Kentucky Saturday, junior quarterback Kolton Browning has been named the Sun Belt Conference's Offensive Player of the Week.
It is the third Sun Belt honor of the season for Browning.
Browning threw a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter, the first tied the game at 28, while the second tied the game at 35 with 31 seconds to play. In overtime, trailing 42-35, Browning hit Je'Ron Hamm for a 20-yard pass to set up 1st and goal.
On 2nd and goal, Browning scored and cut the deficit to one (42-41) with a three-yard touchdown run. ULM opted for the two-point conversion and the Warhawks were successful as Browning hit Rashon Ceaser for the win.
