Brothers killed in early morning crash
PIERRE PART - Early Sunday morning, two brothers were killed in a crash on LA 70 in Assumption Parish.
According to Louisiana State Police, 49-year-old, Troy Ponville and 48-year-old Todd Ponville died when their vehicle hit several trees ejecting both men from the vehicle.
Troopers believe speed played a role in the car crossing the centerline and going off the road.
According to investigators, it's unclear which of the brothers were driving the car at the time of the crash, and impairment is suspected.
Routine toxicology results are pending for both brothers.
The crash is still under investigation.
