Broke, single, under 30? BR is perfect!
BATON ROUGE- Thanks to LSU tailgating, bars on Perkins and downtown with great drink specials, and the authentic "joie de vivre" in south Louisiana, the region was ranked among the best cities in America to be young, broke and single.
MoneyUnder30.com posted the list. The site promises "simple, honest financial advice for starting out."
Baton Rouge was honored with 5th place, beating New Orleans (7) and Omaha, Nebraska (6). Cheap beer, food, and thrills are among the reasons why.
However, the post included some professional information about jobs, citing growth in numerous industries in the city and surrounding areas recently.
The "Top 5:"
5: Baton Rouge
4: Columbus, Ohio
3: Durham, N.C.
2: Salt Lake City, Utah
1: Austin, Texas
