GROSSE TETE - Drivers are getting ready for more delays on the I-10 corridor between Lafayette and Baton Rouge. One lane on I-10 West will be closed at Grosse Tete until 2:30 p.m. again Wednesday for routine bridge inspections.

The lane closure resulted in an 11 mile traffic jam on Tuesday.

The bridge inspections will last until Thursday on I-10 West, and run Monday through Thursday next week on the eastbound side according to the Department of Transportation and Development.

DOTD is advising drivers to use US 190 as an alternate route through the area.
