WBRZ - Baton Rouge

Brian Echols is a weekend sports anchor/ reporter for News 2 Louisiana. He joined WBRZ in October of 2012.

Brian was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended the University of Memphis where he graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Communications.
Brian started his career at WXVT -TV in 2007 as a weekend sports anchor and worked there for five years.

Brian chose a career in television because he always aspired to be a professional athlete, but wasn't fortunate enough. He decided if he couldn't play sports for a living talking about sports would be the next best thing.

Brian currently resides in Baton Rouge Louisiana. He enjoys working out, traveling, and spending time with his friends and family.
