BATON ROUGE - BREC officials said they would offer a one-day winter camp for kids who are out of school Friday in Baker, Central, and Zachary.

The following BREC facilities will hold the day camp from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at a cost of $10 per child. Kids need to bring two snacks, a packed lunch and drinks for the day.

T. D. Bickham Park, 6850 Petit Road at 774-9513
Lovett Road Park, 13443 Lovett Road at 261-0126
Church Street Park, 3210 Church St. at 654-9861

BREC said they would also have staff at the following facilities at 7 a.m. in case East Baton Rouge Schools closed:

Antioch Park, 6229 Antioch Blvd. at 752-8316
Forest Community Park, 13900 S. Harrell's Ferry Road at 752-1853
North Sherwood Forest Community Park, 3140 North Sherwood Forest Dr. at 275-0568
Perkins Road Community Park, 7122 Perkins Road at 766-5209
Womack Park, 6201 Florida Blvd. at 272-9200 x 400

BREC officials said they had to have a minimum of 10 children at each facility to house the camps, so parents should call the center before arriving with their child in case they need to go to a different location.
