Update: News 2 was in St. Francisville this morning when word came out that inmate Henry Smith was captured. It happened around 8 a.m. on Pickneyville Road north of Highway 66.

Tunica Hills Elementary students will go back to their regular campus on Tuesday after being sent to Bains and Lower Bains Monday as a precaution.

Louisiana State Penitentiary is holding a news conference at 3 p.m. to update the case. Smith has been on the run since escaping from Angola Thursday.

He was charged with murder in 1982.
