BRCC to host job expo for students
BATON ROUGE- A local community college is helping students figure out what they want to do before entering the job market. Baton Rouge Community College is hosting it's annual Career Day on Thursday.
All current and former BRCC students are invited to the event which will feature several local businesses. The networking event is meant to help students create useful connections that will prove handy when they start to look for jobs.
More than 100 employers will be at the event to answer questions that students may have about particular jobs or industries.
The event will feature dozens of local businesses hiring in areas such as business, construction management, criminal justice, process technology, teaching and more.
BRCC is giving students two chances to stop by the job expo. The first session will run from 10 a.m. to noon and the second will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The afternoon session will also feature Nursing and Allied health experts and a transfer fair.
The event will be held in the Bonne Sante' Wellness Center on BRCC's campus.
