BATON ROUGE - Baton Rouge Police Chief Dewayne White has suspended an officer for 30 days for an incident last October in which the officer hit another car with his police unit and drove off.
White says that during the incident, Cpl. Jeffrey Coleman became impatient while driving his patrol vehicle. He then turned on his emergency lights and clipped another vehicle while trying to pass it.
White said detectives discovered the incident was captured on the officer's dashboard camera, which was activated when the officer turned on his emergency lights.
Coleman's license also has been suspended.
